Python AI Developer

Job Summary We are seeking a Principal-level Python AI Developer with extensive experience designing and delivering enterprise-scale AI solutions. The ideal candidate will join a cross-functional product team of software engineers, research scientists, and product managers to build AI-first applications using modern cloud technologies, Infrastructure as Code, and AI-assisted development tools. This role requires strong technical leadership, expertise in scalable distributed systems, and the ability to drive enterprise AI initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-scale AI applications using Python and modern software engineering practices. Build scalable backend services and distributed systems to support AI-driven products. Develop and maintain modern web applications, collaborating across backend and frontend technologies. Design and implement cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform. Build, deploy, and maintain applications using GitLab CI/CD and cloud deployment pipelines. Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar platforms to improve engineering productivity. Collaborate with software engineers, research scientists, and product managers throughout the product development lifecycle. Lead technical design discussions and provide architectural guidance for AI-first software solutions. Ensure applications meet enterprise standards for scalability, reliability, security, and performance. Mentor engineering teams and promote best practices in AI-enabled software development. Communicate technical solutions and architectural decisions effectively with stakeholders and leadership. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. 15+ years of software engineering experience. Expert-level experience developing enterprise applications using Python. Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale AI solutions. Strong understanding of AI/ML technologies and modern software architecture. Experience building scalable distributed systems. Strong backend development experience with Python or a comparable backend language with the ability to read and work with Python. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue.js (React or Angular also acceptable). Experience designing and deploying cloud-native applications on AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). Experience with GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment practices. Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Codex, or similar platforms. Experience leading large technical initiatives and influencing engineering strategy. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
