Software Engineer

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer for a contract position with a Leading Pharmacy Benefit Manager located in Eagan, MN. This is a long-term contract opportunity.

Compensation: $40.99 - $42.25 per hour, W2, based on qualifications

Position Overview:
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining technology solutions in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, and cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform or AWS, contributing to the full software development lifecycle including continuous integration and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain technology solutions and ensure solutions meet non-functional requirements
• Analyze, design and develop tests and test-automation suites
• Use test driven development in an agile environment
• Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain the continuous integration and continuous deployment pipeline for technology solutions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with team members to achieve innovative, business results-driven technology solutions
• Use AI engineering-specifically using a command line interface and utilizing skills to complete the various steps of the software development life cycle
• Consistently apply best practices and drive for continuous improvement
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies

Primary Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience
• 2-5 years of experience with application development or packaged software implementations
• Experience with Java 21+ and Spring Boot
• Experience with React
• Experience developing microservices
• Experience with Kafka or other data streaming technology
• Experience with PostgreSQL
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS; Google Cloud Platform is preferred
• Experience with AI engineering-specifically using a command line interface and utilizing skills to complete the various steps of the software development life cycle
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Excellent documentation skills
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for a work visa or residency sponsorship

Desired Skills:

• Experience working in an environment with regulatory compliance requirements (HIPAA, PCI, etc.)
• Previous experience working in an Agile/Product Delivery model
• Previous experience in PBM / health care industry
• Understanding of the security implications of the domain
