Job Description

WD is building the infrastructure behind the AI-driven data economy.

As AI scales, so does data. Every interaction, every model, every system generates data that must be stored, managed, and made accessible over time. That’s where we come in.

We combine deep engineering expertise with global-scale manufacturing to deliver the storage systems that make AI possible, powering hyperscale data centers, cloud platforms, and enterprise infrastructure worldwide.

This isn’t theoretical work. It’s real systems, at real scale, people solving some of the hardest challenges in technology today.

We’re looking for people who want to build, solve, and operate at that level.

Join us and let’s shape the future of data.

As Manager Global Trade Compliance & Logistics (m/f/d), you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with German, European, and international trade regulations while managing our import/export, customs, logistics, and transportation activities.

In this role, you will oversee global trade compliance processes, export controls, and customs operations and ensure that all activities are performed in accordance with applicable regulations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, customs authorities, brokers, freight forwarders, and external partners to ensure compliant and efficient international trade and logistics operations.

In addition, you will continuously improve our processes, systems, and compliance controls and support the organization in navigating an increasingly complex international trade environment.

Logistics, Transportation & Trade Programs

  • Oversee international transportation activities across air, sea, road, and rail
  • Optimize transportation routes, logistics costs, and carrier performance
  • Manage 3PL/4PL providers, logistics relationships, and relevant KPIs

  • Support applications, audits, certifications, and renewals

Systems & Process Governance

  • Operate and continuously improve ATLAS import/export processes
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, compliance controls, and governance processes
  • Drive automation, reporting, and continuous process improvements across trade compliance and logistics

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in export compliance, customs, international trade operations, and/or logistics
