Store Sales & Lessons Manager - Music Retail

Music & Arts is seeking a Sales Manager to lead retail store sales and lesson growth in our student-focused music environment. This role oversees daily store operations, drives revenue through instrument and accessory sales, rentals, and lesson enrollment, and manages a small sales team. The Sales Manager will coach staff, set goals, and ensure exceptional service to students, parents, and educators. Responsibilities include merchandising, inventory control, local school and community outreach, and partnering with repair and lesson teams. This position supports our mission of expanding access to quality instruments and music education.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach store sales team to achieve revenue and lesson enrollment goals
• Manage daily retail operations, including opening/closing and cash handling
• Drive sales of instruments, accessories, rentals, and lessons
• Partner with schools, educators, and community groups to grow business
• Oversee merchandising, inventory accuracy, and store presentation
• Monitor KPIs, create action plans, and report performance to leadership
• Ensure outstanding customer service for students, parents, and educators
• Coordinate with repair and lesson staff to deliver integrated solutions
