Senior DB2 with Maximo

Position: Senior DB2 resource

Location: Remote

Duration: 6 months

Must have Security Clearance

Requirement

Migrate 600GB of data from Oracle to Db2 supporting Maximo, residing in each of 4 environments (dev/test/preprod/prod).

Scope Assumptions

• That Maximo uses exactly the same set of tables and directly equivalent table structure in both Oracle and Db2.
• Standard Db2 Maximo tables will be created as part of the Maximo Db2 installation
• Any custom objects (tables, indexes, triggers, views, synonyms, functions and stored procedures) that are not created as part of the Maximo Db2 installation, but that are required to be migrated will be identified by the customer.
• All in scope tables will be truncated and contents fully replaced with the data from the Oracle tables.
• Any tables to be excluded from the data migration will be identified by the customer.
• A Maximo SME will validate the data migration design, ensuring that the correct set of data is in scope for migration.
• Legacy Oracle database will be local enough to the DB2 database to allow direct connection (firewalls can be opened).

Pre-requisites

• Maximo installed on Db2 at the same version/patch level as the existing Maximo Oracle installations.
