 SRE Lead – Job Description

Summary: SRE Lead with a strong background -Performance Engineering, Observability, Cloud Technologies, and Software Development., and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive Site Reliability Engineering initiatives across enterprise applications.
• Define, implement, and monitor Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and reliability metrics.
• Establish observability and monitoring frameworks using tools such as Prometheus and related monitoring platforms.
• Partner with development teams to improve application performance, resilience, and scalability.
• Lead Performance Engineering and Testing activities, including load testing, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Develop and automate operational processes using scripting and programming languages.
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis, problem management, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with architecture teams to support and optimize both Monolithic and Microservices-based architectures.
• Implement cloud-native reliability and automation solutions on AWS.
• Evaluate and leverage AI-driven copilot and Claude.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of IT experience with significant experience in Site Reliability Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Performance Engineering, Testing, and Application Monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus and observability platforms.
• Deep understanding of SLIs, SLOs, SLAs, and reliability best practices.
• Strong development experience in:
• Python
• Java
• Experience with AWS Cloud Services and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong understanding of:
• Monolithic Architecture
• Microservices Architecture
• Experience in automation, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.
