Description:

• We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who can combine strong enterprise engineering fundamentals with modern AI-assisted development practices.
• The ideal candidate is comfortable using AI coding tools and agents such as Devin, GitHub Copilot, and Tachyon AI to accelerate software delivery, delegate well-defined development tasks, rapidly build proofs of concept, and create practical internal tools.
• This role will also design and develop APIs, reusable components, enterprise integrations, and full-stack solutions supporting document composition and generation platforms.
• Direct experience with Devin is highly desirable. Experience with comparable AI coding agents and the ability to demonstrate effective AI-assisted engineering workflows will also be considered.

Immediate Focus:

• The initial assignment will support the migration of Linux and Windows servers running OpenText Exstream from legacy data centers to new data centers, including:
• Server and application migration
• Middleware patching and upgrades
• UI maintenance and enhancements
• Operational stability and performance during and after migration
• Automation of repeatable engineering and operational activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support enterprise applications through the full SDLC.
• Use AI coding agents and developer tools such as Devin, GitHub Copilot, and Tachyon AI to improve engineering productivity and delivery speed.
• Effectively delegate development tasks to AI coding agents, review generated solutions, troubleshoot issues, and integrate the resulting code into enterprise applications.
• Rapidly develop full-stack proofs of concept and practical internal engineering tools.
• Build APIs, reusable services/components, and enterprise integrations supporting document generation and related platforms.
• Develop and support applications for document composition, generation, and delivery.
• Support Java/Spring Boot full-stack applications and UI components.
• Perform application-side administration across Linux and Windows environments.
• Partner with infrastructure, platform, QA, and application teams on resiliency, performance, deployment, and production support.
• Improve automation, testing, observability, and deployment practices.
• Work effectively within Agile and enterprise SDLC standards.

Desired Qualifications:

• Core Engineering
• Senior-level software engineering experience with strong SDLC and Agile fundamentals
• Java, Spring / Spring Boot
• REST API and enterprise integration development
• Full-stack application development
• Angular and/or React
• Python and shell scripting
• SQL and relational databases, including PostgreSQL and/or SQL Server
• Linux and Windows application-side administration
• Experience with enterprise-scale, high-volume systems

AI-Enabled Software Engineering:

• Hands-on experience using AI coding agents or AI-assisted development tools to accelerate engineering work
• Ability to identify and delegate appropriate engineering tasks to AI agents while reviewing and validating generated code
• Experience using Devin preferred, or comparable autonomoagentic coding tools
• Experience with GitHub Copilot
• Experience with Tachyon AI is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to use AI for rapid prototyping, full-stack POC development, code generation, testing, troubleshooting, and engineering automation
• Ability to turn successful prototypes into reusable internal tools, APIs, and components
