Job Title:<br />IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) Infrastructure Specialist<br />Location<br />Home based / On‑site (depending on project requirements)<br />Role<br />The Maximo/MAS Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the design, installation, configuration, and ongoing management of IBM Maximo Application Suite (MAS) across on‑premise, bare metal and cloud environments.<br />This role focuses on the underlying platform and infrastructure, ensuring MAS is deployed securely, performs optimally, and aligns with enterprise architecture and operational requirements.<br />The specialist will work closely with application consultants, cloud teams, security teams, and client stakeholders to deliver reliable and scalable MAS environments.<br />Key Responsibilities<br />IBM MAS &amp; Platform Deployment

• Install, configure, and upgrade IBM Maximo Application Suite components, including but not limited to:<br />Maximo Manage<br />Monitor<br />Health<br />Visual Inspection<br />Assist<br />IoT integrations
• Perform MAS installations using IBM Red Hat OpenShift on:<br />On‑premise infrastructure<br />Public cloud (Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud)<br />Hybrid environments<br />Bare Metal
• Manage MAS lifecycle operations including patching, upgrades, and version alignment.<br />OpenShift &amp; Container Platform Management
• Deploy and administer Red Hat OpenShift clusters for MAS workloads.
• Configure:<br />Persistent storage (block/file/object)<br />Networking and ingress<br />Service mesh and routing
• Troubleshoot cluster health, performance, and capacity issues.<br />Infrastructure &amp; Cloud Engineering
• Design target architectures for MAS based on:<br />High availability<br />Scalability<br />Disaster recovery
• Provision infrastructure using:<br />VMware / bare metal (on‑prem)<br />Cloud-native services (IaaS / PaaS)
• Collaborate with cloud landing zone and networking teams.<br />Security &amp; Compliance
• Implement security best practices, including:<br />TLS and certificate management<br />Identity integration (LDAP, SSO, IAM)<br />Secrets management
• Ensure MAS deployments comply with enterprise security and governance standards.<br />Operations &amp; Support
• Provide 2nd/3rd line support for MAS infrastructure issues.
• Monitor system performance, logs, and alerts.
• Document environments, installation procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Support DevOps and CI/CD pipelines where applicable.<br />Required Technical Skills &amp; Experience<br />Core Technologies
• Proven experience installing and managing IBM Maximo Application Suite
• Strong expertise with Red Hat OpenShift, Single Node OpenShift and Kubernetes
• Experience with containerized enterprise applications<br />Infrastructure Skills
• On‑premise platforms:<br />VMware vSphere<br />Storage and networking concepts
• Cloud platforms (one or more):<br />Microsoft Azure<br />Amazon Web Services (AWS)<br />IBM Cloud
• Load balancers, DNS, firewalls, and ingress controllers<br />Operating Systems &amp; Middleware
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Experience with:<br />IBM Db2, Oracle &amp; MS SQL Server<br />Kafka (as used within MAS)<br />Object storage (S3-compatible)<br />Automation &amp; Tooling
• Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible – desirable)
• CI/CD pipelines (Git-based tooling)
• Monitoring and logging platforms
• MAS Ansible and CLI<br />Desirable Skills &amp; Certifications<br />IBM Maximo or MAS certification<br />Red Hat OpenShift certification (e.g. DO280, DO380)<br />Cloud certifications (Azure / AWS)<br />Experience in asset management, utilities, transport, or manufacturing sectors<br />DevSecOps or SRE experience<br />Soft Skills &amp; Competencies<br />Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills<br />Ability to work independently and as part of a multi‑disciplinary team<br />Clear documentation and communication skills<br />Comfortable working with clients and project stakeholders<br />Organized, detail‑oriented, and delivery‑focused
