• Serves as the Security Policy Specialist for the Army Special Programs Directorate (ASPD), leading the development, review, approval, and implementation of all policies that affect or are under the cognizance of ASPD.
• Acts on behalf of the Army SAPCO Executive Director and Director of Security, coordinating with top level Army Senior Leaders as well as with subordinate program offices and personnel.
• Reviews, analyzes, prepares, and revises the Army SAP Security programs, policies, measures, and requirements. Ensures the quality and timeliness of policy implementation, and to effectively utilize allocated resources.
• Advises the ASPD leadership on mitigation strategies and procedure implementation and changes impacting the Army SAP technologies and information. Requirements Help Conditions of employment

• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
• May require consent to take a counterintelligence scope polygraph examination, if access to a special access program.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret security clearance based on Tier 5 Bl with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).
• Travel may be required (CONUS/OCONUS) 20% of the time.
• This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development Certification Program. This is the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Certification Program directed by DoD Instruction 3305.13. See Additional Information.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-13). Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series. • This position has been identified for the Security Professional Education Development Certification Program. This position requires the incumbent obtain the following core SPēD Certification: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within their first 2 years of employment.

Signing of a DA Form 5019 acknowledging periodic random drug testing requirements is mandatory prior to being placed into this position.
