About the role

You will lead the design, build, and support of Workday integrations and advanced reporting across Core HCM, Time/Absence, Benefits, US Payroll (PECI), and Recruiting/Talent for a high-impact HRIT program. This role partners closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, TA, InfoSec, and Enterprise Engineering to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable integrations.

  • Architect, develop, test, and deploy Workday integrations using Studio, Core Connectors, EIB, and PECI for US payroll provider interfaces (inbound/outbound, schedules, retries, monitoring).

  • Build Recruiting/Talent integrations and reporting assets (RaaS, custom reports, calculated fields) enabling analytics and downstream systems.
  • Design robust error handling, alerting, and run controls; triage incidents and drive root-cause fixes across tenants and environments.
  • Implement secure transport and data protection (SFTP/MFT, certificates, encryption, token-based auth) aligned with HR data privacy and compliance.
  • Optimize Workday reporting: matrix/composite reports, complex calculated fields, report performance tuning, and data quality checks.
  • Collaborate on SDLC best practices (version control, peer reviews, CI/CD, unit/integration testing) and change management from sandbox to production.
  • Partner with HRIT product managers and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and deliverables; provide clear documentation and handoffs to operations.

  • Advanced reporting skills: Report Writer, RaaS, complex calculated fields, matrix/composite reporting, and security-aware data design.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security, business processes, tenant management, and environment promotion strategies.
  • Proven track record building high-availability integrations with robust monitoring, alerting, and operational runbooks.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills working cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Benefits, and Talent teams.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience.
