- Support the investigation and resolution of consolidation and reporting variances.
- Help ensure that reporting submissions are complete, accurate and delivered in line with group deadlines.
- Identify opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate consolidation and reporting processes.
Oracle ERP implementation
- Support the design and implementation of Oracle ERP accounting, close, consolidation and reporting processes.
- Participate in Oracle design sessions and help translate International Finance requirements into practical system solutions.
- Review proposed process designs and configurations to ensure they meet international accounting, reporting and statutory requirements.
- Support the design, preparation and validation of:
- chart-of-accounts mappings;
- legal entity and reporting structures;
- financial statement and management reporting hierarchies;
- intercompany mappings and elimination rules;
- legacy system-to-Oracle mappings;
- cost centre, department, product and other reporting dimensions; and
- accounting rules and close processes.
- Support data cleansing, migration and validation, including reconciling opening balances and historical data between legacy systems and Oracle.
- Develop finance test scenarios and support system integration testing and user acceptance testing.
- Perform detailed testing of accounting entries, close processes, consolidation outputs, reports and system interfaces.
- Document test results, raise and track defects, and work with the project team to resolve identified issues.
- Assess the accounting and reporting impact of system or process gaps and support the development of practical solutions.
- Assist with the preparation of standardised close procedures, reporting templates, controls, process documentation and user guidance for the Oracle environment.
- Provide hands-on support during cutover, go-live and the post-implementation stabilisation period.
- Help ensure that close, consolidation and reporting deadlines continue to be met throughout the Oracle implementation.
Experience and qualifications
Essential
- Significant experience in financial consolidation, group reporting and month-end close within a complex multinational organisation.
- Strong practical experience using Oracle ERP, ideally Oracle Fusion, including financial close and reporting processes.
- Previous experience supporting an Oracle or similar ERP implementation, including design workshops, mappings, data migration and testing.
- Strong knowledge of consolidation accounting, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation and multi-entity reporting.
- Experience preparing or reviewing financial reporting under US GAAP and/or IFRS.
- Strong understanding of financial controls, balance sheet reconciliations and audit requirements.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large and complex data sets.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies across systems, mappings and reporting outputs.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work within demanding close and implementation timelines.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple countries and functions.
Desirable
- Previous experience with D365, FCC, Hyperion, TM1 or other consolidation and reporting tools.
- Experience working across EMEA and APAC entities.
