POSITION SUMMARY The Test Engineer supports the testing, verification, validation, and acceptance of the Navigation, Seamanship and Shiphandling Trainer (NSST) and associated training systems.

The position develops and executes test plans and procedures, evaluates system performance against requirements, identifies and tracks discrepancies, and supports formal government test and acceptance activities. The ideal candidate has a strong testing background combined with knowledge of U.S. Navy shipboard operations, navigation, shiphandling, or maritime training. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support contract test planning, preparation, execution, and reporting for NSST and other assigned training systems.
• Support the development, review, and verification of training system requirements to ensure alignment with customer requirements and intended training objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and execute Test Plans, test baselines, Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs), and other test documentation.
• Ensure test entry and exit criteria are satisfied and appropriately documented for applicable test events, measures, and processes.
• Conduct evaluation, verification, validation, and testing of training system software, hardware, functionality, performance, and system interfaces.
• Maintain requirements traceability and verify that applicable system requirements are addressed through appropriate test methods and procedures.
• Identify, document, and track test discrepancies; work with engineering personnel to investigate and resolve identified issues and perform regression testing to verify corrective actions.
• Facilitate and support government test and acceptance activities, including Test Readiness Assessments, Functional Mission Assessments, System Performance Evaluations, Joint Ready to Ship Assessments, on-site installation and testing, Facility and Safety Interface Tests, Functional Mission Tests, and Ready for Training determinations.
• Interface with government customers, engineering teams, program personnel, and other stakeholders during formal and informal test events.
• Prepare and communicate test status, results, discrepancies, risks, and other technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate test records and supporting documentation and produce testing progress and status reports.
• Support automated testing activities and assist with the development and improvement of repeatable and efficient test processes and tools.
• Support Training Systems Support Center (TSSC) activities, including product and training baseline management, baseline distribution to Main Operating Bases (MOBs), software modifications and merges, hardware development, prototyping, and production of modifications.
• Support configuration management activities associated with test environments, system baselines, software, hardware, and test documentation.
• Adapt test plans and activities to accommodate evolving system configurations, requirements, schedules, and customer priorities.
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of program and organizational requirements. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but requires close coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams, program personnel, customers, and government test representatives. Requirements ENTRY - 0 to 3 Years MID - 3 to 7 Years SENIOR - 7 to 10 Years EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Experience and demonstrated capabilities appropriate to the assigned position level may include:
• Experience with system testing, verification, validation, acceptance testing, or requirements-based testing.
• Experience developing and executing formal test procedures and documenting test results and discrepancies.
• Experience with requirements traceability tools and processes, including tracking requirements through verification and testing.
• Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and resolving test discrepancies and defects.
• U.S. Navy shiphandling, navigation, or shipboard operational experience is preferred.
• Maritime simulation, training system, or simulation-based testing experience preferred.
• Department of Defense testing and acceptance experience preferred.
• Experience with automated testing tools or methodologies is a preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, document, troubleshoot, and communicate system discrepancies.
• Ability to interpret system requirements, technical documentation, and test criteria and translate them into effective test procedures and test activities.
• Ability to develop, execute, and document formal test procedures in a structured test environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate requirements traceability, test results, discrepancy records, and other test documentation.
• Ability to evaluate system performance against established requirements, specifications, and intended training objectives.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize system behavior or performance that does not meet established requirements.
• Ability to effectively communicate technical issues, test results, and system discrepancies to engineering personnel, program leadership, and government customers.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary engineering teams and customer test personnel throughout test, verification, and acceptance activities.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple testing activities while adapting to changing system configurations, requirements, schedules, and test conditions.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with issue/discrepancy tracking tools such as Jira.
• Ability to work 100% on-site in Orlando, Florida, as required for this position.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline preferred. Relevant military or maritime operational experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, particularly experience involving U.S. Navy shiphandling, navigation, shipboard operations, or operation/testing of maritime systems.
