What You’ll Do
Lead and Develop the Team

- Set clear expectations for technical quality, customer engagement, delivery ownership, and professional growth.
- Manage performance and career development through regular feedback, meaningful goals, and individual development plans.
- Match engineers to engagements based on mission needs, technical expertise, clearance requirements, and team capacity.
- Build a collaborative engineering culture that encourages accountability, sound judgment, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning.
Own Delivery Across Customer Engagements
- Lead a portfolio of embedded FDE engagements, with each engineer focused on a dedicated customer.
- Partner with customer stakeholders and assigned engineers to establish scope, priorities, milestones, dependencies, and measurable success criteria.
- Guide execution across the full delivery lifecycle: architecture, build, deployment, hardening, operations, and transition.
- Monitor delivery health, identify risks early, resolve resource constraints, and coordinate support across Oracle.
- Serve as a management escalation point for complex technical issues, delivery challenges, and customer concerns.
- Ensure engagements include documentation, knowledge transfer, operational readiness, and clear ownership for ongoing support.
Provide Technical Leadership
- Review solution architectures and implementation approaches for security, scalability, resilience, performance, and operational sustainability.
- Guide engineering across OCI compute, networking, identity, storage, databases, Kubernetes, security, and observability services.
- Establish practical engineering standards for Infrastructure-as-Code, automation, source control, testing, deployment, and change management within customer environments.
- Maintain sufficient hands-on technical depth to evaluate designs, challenge assumptions, and assist with complex implementation and troubleshooting efforts.
- Help teams mature pilot deployments into production systems aligned with customer security and accreditation requirements.
- Promote reusable automation, deployment patterns, and technical guidance where customer security and information-sharing requirements permit.
Build Customer and Oracle Partnerships
- Establish trusted relationships with customer technical leaders, operators, and mission stakeholders.
- Translate mission priorities into actionable engineering plans and communicate progress, risks, and decisions to technical and executive audiences.
- Collaborate with Oracle product engineering, support, security, consulting, and account teams to address customer needs and remove delivery barriers.
- Coordinate responsibilities across FDEs and other Oracle teams so customers have clear delivery and support ownership.
- Capture field experience and communicate product gaps, recurring issues, and enhancement opportunities to Oracle engineering leadership.
- Support sustainable OCI adoption and consumption by ensuring deployed solutions deliver measurable customer value.
