Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM Functional Consultant – Utilities

Position Overview

DTI has an immediate need for an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM (Supply Chain Management) Functional Consultant with a background in the Utilities industry to drive end-to-end SCM solution delivery for an 18moth+ engagement in Dallas, Tx. In this role, a person will lead functional design, facilitate client workshops, translate business requirements into functional specifications, and provide hands-on system configuration while guiding technical teams through implementation and integration. Person should be flexible to travel 50% (Every other week).

Travel: up to 50% travel

Key Responsibilities :

• Workshop Facilitation & Requirements Gathering: Lead client-facing sessions, process workshops, solution walk-throughs with business stakeholders to define core utility SCM requirements , and testing execution/ support .
• Solution Architecture & Functional Specs: Translate business needs into detailed Functional Design Specifications (FDDs), process flows, test scripts, and user documentation.
• Hands-on Configuration: Configure core Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM modules (Inventory Management, Costing, Product Hub/ Item Master, and Maintenance Module. Procurement is a plus) tailored to utility operational workflows.
• Technical & Integration Guidance: Collaborate closely with technical leads to guide interface mapping, conversions, and integrations between Oracle SCM, Finance, Projects, and third-party utility applications (e.g., Enterprise Asset Management and Coupa).
• Delivery & Post-Go-Live Support: Execute /Support unit/system integration testing (UAT), support cutover activities, and provide post-implementation issue resolution and functional enhancement.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of total ERP SCM functional experience, with a minimum of 3+ years dedicated to hands-on Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM implementations.
• Utilities Sector Expertise: Proven experience configuring SCM processes for utility clients, addressing industry-specific supply chain challenges (e.g., spare parts management, crew procurement, field inventory tracking).
• Functional & Hands-on Mix: Strong capability to drive high-level functional strategy while remaining hands-on with system setup, functional troubleshooting, and specification design.
• Communication: Outstanding oral and written communication skills to articulate functional design concepts to both client leadership and technical delivery teams

Ideal Candidate

The strongest candidate will bring the combination of Oracle Fusion SCM functional leadership + hands-on configuration + direct utility experience. This is not intended to be a purely strategic or technical role; the consultant must be comfortable leading client discussions while also getting into the application to configure, troubleshoot, test, and support the solution.
