Position Overview
The Financial Analyst will play an integral role on the accounting team and is responsible for analyzing financial data across multiple platforms, building key performance indicators, and supporting the agency’s long-term financial health and strategic goals through accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to provide insights into financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
Analyze and build financial statements, dashboards, budgets, scenario analysis, forecasts, variance reports, program analysis, growth scenarios, and other ad hoc analyses as needed.

Participate in all aspects of the budget process including building the budget, budget discussions, and other associated activities.

Develop and maintain financial models and KPIs to evaluate agency program performance.
·
Assist with cost analysis and margin improvement initiatives.
·
Support management with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests.
·
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
·
Collaborate with accounting, operations, programs, and leadership teams.
·
Prepare journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations as needed.
·
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
·
5+ years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, accounting, or a related role.
·
Intermediate to Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables)
·
Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
·
Ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
·
Ability to flex hours for periodic deadline-drive work during month-end and planning cycles.
CPA or MBA preferred.

Experience with ADP, Credible, Financial Edge NXT
·
Experience with industry-specific financial analysis
Occasionally lift or move materials up to twenty-five pounds.

Must be able to sit for long periods of time and do work at a computer screen for several hours each day.
