Job Description

A Quality Engineer focuses on implementing quality assurance and quality control processes at the operational level. They work closely with production or project teams to ensure products or services meet defined quality standards. Due to the sensitive nature of the site, BPSS security clearance is required. Please note that this process can take up to 8 weeks. Eligibility criteria: Many positions within the project are subject to national security clearance restrictions. This means that your eligibility for certain roles may be affected by your place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency you hold or have held.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be working in a live MOD facility. Your day-to-day tasks will include: • Develop and execute inspection and testing procedures.<br />• Conduct root cause analysis and support problem-solving activities.<br />• Monitor production or construction processes for quality compliance.<br />• Review documentation and verify that materials/products meet specifications.<br />• Support audits and quality system implementations.<br />• Assist in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) processes.<br />• Collect and analyse quality data to identify trends and improvements. Requirements:

• Professionally qualified operator and/or Graduate.<br />• Quality related qualifications and Industry experience ie ISO<br />• Experience of similar role, preferred in relevant sector (ie Nuclear and Defence)<br />• CSCS - Green labourer<br />• Strong understanding of quality principles, inspection methods, and testing.<br />• Familiarity with quality tools (e.g., FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis).<br />• Knowledge of relevant standards (ISO 9001, industry-specific).<br />• Basic statistical and data analysis skills.<br />• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
