The Role • Operate specialized heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive hostlers to accurately position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers. • Conduct daily pre and post-use inspections of equipment to guarantee operational safety. • Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to streamline container movements and task coordination. • Maintain a safe work environment by strictly adhering to established protocols and safety procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks, including climbing. • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including day or second shifts, weekends, and holidays, with open availability. • Strong commitment to safety and meticulous attention to detail. • Basic communication skills and the ability to function effectively as part of a team.
