We are looking for Technical Project Manager for our client in Austin, TX

Job Title: Technical Project Manager

Job Location: Austin, TX

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $60.85hr - $64.22hr

Job Overview:

This role will help drive a company-wide information flow improvement project defined to improve how product specifications and descriptive information are created, corrected, distributed, and used to enable all aspects of engineering both internally and for customers. The candidate will be responsible for driving defined improvement tasks within the overall framework and will be paired with the primary information architect for direction and priorities within the overall program. The candidate will understand the overall information flow initiative goals, framework, owners, and key milestones; divide the project into small segments; and create schedules and budgets for each segment. Responsibilities include assigning segments of the project to appropriate departments, explaining roles to contributors, and monitoring all segments to ensure they are completed smoothly and on schedule. The successful candidate will create a pleasant and positive work atmosphere, coordinate between various departments to ensure issues are addressed, overcome obstacles and bottlenecks with minimal disruption, prepare contingency plans, and assist in preparing project status and critical issues reports for executive staff.

Experience and Education:

Bachelor s degree in project management, business administration, management information systems, engineering management, or a related field.

2+ years in various project management roles involving large cross-functional engineering projects.

Possess strong management, motivational, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Good knowledge of project subject matter and the business operations of various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Govern the HR Shared Services JIRA intake process, partnering with process owners, Strategic Project Managers, HR Service Center leaders, and System Module Owners to assess requests, support prioritization, align resources, and develop timelines for new projects, HR Service Center work transfers, and HR system enhancements.
  • Lead and support cross-functional HR projects and process improvement initiatives, coordinating stakeholders, requirements, timelines, risks, dependencies, and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, process maps, governance materials, and other tools to support consistent execution and stakeholder alignment.
  • Create a monthly HR Technology summary of completed enhancements and the forward-looking pipeline.
  • Maintain strong project management and organization skills with knowledge of JIRA.

Must Have:

  • PMP Certification.
  • Experience with JIRA or a similar tool.
