What makes this role exciting and challenging
We’re looking for a creative and versatile Senior 2D Game Designer & Artist to develop engaging iLottery game concepts and deliver high-quality, production-ready 2D artwork. You’ll combine strong game design principles with specialist illustration and digital art skills, taking ownership of the visual design process from initial concepts and UI layouts through to polished assets and animation handover.
You'll be highly proficient in Adobe Photoshop, comfortable adapting to different visual styles, and experienced in preparing clean, structured assets for animation and development teams. We're looking for someone who is organised, collaborative and adaptable, with a growth mindset and a proactive approach to improving how we work. We work in cross-functional teams across Greece, London, Ireland and Chicago.
This role is offered as a 12-month contract position on a contractor basis.

- Visual Development: Take designs from initial sketches and concepts through to polished, production-ready artwork.
- Animation Handover: Prepare and structure layered artwork for animators, ensuring assets are correctly separated, organised and ready for animation.
- Creative Ownership: Manage design tasks independently, maintaining quality and meeting agreed deadlines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with designers, animators, developers and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive game experiences.
- Asset Management: Maintain clean, structured Photoshop files and contribute to reusable asset libraries and shared design standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, increase reusability and adopt new tools and techniques.
- Mentorship & Feedback: Share knowledge, provide constructive feedback and support the development of other team members.

- Strong 2D illustration skills, including creating characters, backgrounds, scene objects and polished game assets.
- Strong understanding of visual design principles, composition, colour, typography and UI/UX.
- Experience preparing layered artwork and structured files for handover to animators.
- Ability to adapt between different art styles while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating both creative game design and high-quality 2D artwork.
- Experience working collaboratively across design, animation and development teams.
Minimum Experience
- Experience using Spine or other 2D animation software.
- Understanding of animation principles, asset rigging and animation production workflows.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Libraries and reusable asset systems.
- Experience designing mobile or web-based games, particularly iLottery or casual games.
Required Competences

- Growth mindset: Open to learning, constructive feedback and continuously improving skills and processes.
