The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (e.g., hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks with precision and efficiency.
• Relocate and position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Perform daily pre- and post-use equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Collaborate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and container movements.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs and climbing ladders/stairs.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong commitment to safety and a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions.
• Basic communication skills and the capacity to work effectively within a team.
