Job Description 

An MRI Technologist, also known as a Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist, operates MRI scanners to produce diagnostic images of the human body for medical professionals. They prepare patients for MRI scans, operate the equipment, and ensure the quality and safety of the imaging process. They also maintain patient records, adjust equipment, and collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams.

MRI Technologist 

The MRI Technologist performs technical procedures, applying magnetic resonance imaging and ionizing radiation (Radiographer) for the purpose of detecting pathology. Regulates equipment used to produce the magnetic image and expose the x-ray image as well as process and organize the image in PACS.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

Associate Degree or equivalent in Radiological Technology required

Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MRI concepts to include head, neck, body, MSK, spine and MRI imaging

Experience Requirements:

1yr min MRI exp required; 3 yrs MRI exp preferred

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

FL State Registered Radiologic Technician License

ARRT (MR) Required

Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS

Experience Requirements:

1yr min MRI exp required; 3 yrs MRI exp preferred
