Job description

Non-Functional Test Engineer
Start Date: November 2026
Contract duration: 12 months
Location: Zurich
We are looking for an experienced consultant with strong banking and quality engineering experience to support the validation of critical banking applications and platforms.
Key requirements:
  • Strong understanding of core banking systems, digital channels and integration architectures
  • Hands-on experience with performance, resilience, security and non-functional testing
  • Experience defining NFRs, test strategies, test cases and quality metrics
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis using logs, metrics and monitoring tools
  • Exposure to automation, CI/CD pipelines and Test-as-Code approaches
  • Knowledge of Java or TypeScript (Python beneficial)
  • Experience with Jira/Xray and structured test management processes
  • Banking or financial services background required
Nice to have:
  • Experience supporting large-scale banking transformation or platform modernisation programmes
  • Knowledge of observability, monitoring and operational readiness practices
  • Familiarity with accessibility and security testing principles
