Software Developer with Security Clearance

Remote Status: On-SiteJob Id:  13922-HADES - Chase# of Openings:  2 Auria is looking to hire a Software Developer  to support HADES. This opening requires full-time presence in Kirtland AFB, NM The Hybrid Architecture and Development for Experimental Systems (HADES) Program provides maintenance, sustainment, development, integration, and test support for ground systems supporting experimental mission capabilities at the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Support Complex at Kirtland AFB, NM.

The program supports existing capabilities and the development, integration, testing, and deployment of capabilities supporting new mission partners and emerging mission requirements within TS/SCI and Special Access Program (SAP) environments. This is a contingent position.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO: • Design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and system components using Java, C++, and Python. • Collaborate closely with frontend developers, systems engineers, DevSecOps teams, and testers to ensure high-quality integration and delivery. • Develop software components that interact with satellite ground systems, network management interfaces, and secure communications protocols. • Optimize system performance and reliability through well-structured code, profiling, and debugging. • Support secure coding practices and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements • Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives. • Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to system architecture decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, and performance. • Performs software and system testing procedures, bug verification, release testing, and beta support. • Performs product design and programming activities involving multiple modules or subsystems. • Participates in design meetings and consults with other staff to evaluate interface between hardware and software, and operational and performance requirements of overall system. • Performs complex release testing and beta support for assigned projects and resolves problems found in the software. • Prepares documentation required of the product.

Analyzes and researches software requirements to determine feasibility of design and marketing requirements within time and cost constraints. • May consult with customer concerning application and maintenance of software.

WHAT THE TEAM REQUIRES

• U.S. citizenship and an active DoD TOP SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline and 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Red Hat Openshift, Kafka, Kubernetes, Camel
• The ability to take a logical (MBSE) architecture and make it a deployment architecture
• Experience with supporting Agile best practices to improve team efficiency and delivery consistency.
• Technical leadership experience, helping guide priorities, support decision-making, and mentor peers to ensure successful project execution.
• Strong debugging skills and experience using tools such as GDB, Valgrind, or performance profilers.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills within Agile development teams.

WHAT THE TEAM PREFERS

• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Nexus).
• Prior experience contributing to large-scale government software programs or defense acquisitions.
