The Role

• Operate specialized heavy equipment (hostlers, cranes, top loaders, side loaders) to safely and efficiently move shipping containers.
• Load and unload containers from railcars and trucks within the intermodal yard.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure operational safety and report any issues.
• Coordinate container moves with yard personnel and supervisors to maintain smooth logistics flow.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with established protocols.
• Play a key role in ensuring timely and accurate handling of freight.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong commitment to safety procedures and a high level of attention to detail.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders/stairs on railcars.
