Job Description
Location: Remote (United States)
Work Model: Remote
Industry: AI recruiting and talent marketplace (B2B SaaS)
Compensation: $20–$35 per hour
About the Company
TalentPluto is a Y Combinator-backed startup building the hiring stack for high-growth companies. We run two connected products: a talent network that places engineering, go-to-market, and operations people into fast-moving startups, and an AI recruiting tool that lets a hiring team run candidate search, tiered enrichment, rubric-based scoring, and outbound campaigns directly from their assistant. We work with dozens of venture-backed startups across AI, developer tools, fintech, and healthcare. The team is small and founder-led, and interns work on live problems rather than practice ones.
The Opportunity
This is a business operations internship focused on how the company actually runs. You will take cross-functional problems that cut across recruiting, product, and go-to-market, break them into something structured, and then build the process or model that keeps them solved. Where founder-associate work is project-shaped, this role leans toward the recurring machinery: the reporting, the workflows, and the operating cadence that let a small team handle more volume without more people.
We operate at the intersection of AI, recruiting, labor markets, and professional identity, which means the operational questions are genuinely unsolved rather than a known playbook someone forgot to run. You will get direct exposure to the founders and to decisions that are still open.
Responsibilities
- Structure ambiguous cross-functional problems and drive them to a decision.
- Build and improve the internal processes and workflows the team runs on day to day.
- Analyze operational data to find where throughput is being lost, and propose fixes.
- Build simple models and reporting that support planning and prioritization.
- Document how things work so processes survive handoff and do not depend on one person.
Requirements
- Strong analytical and structured thinking.
- Comfort working on ambiguous problems with limited direction.
- Strong written communication with the ability to synthesize clearly.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with follow-through.
- Comfort using spreadsheets and learning new tools quickly.
- Self-directed and comfortable working in a remote startup environment.
