Job Description

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in the global HQ of this tech-focused market maker with groundbreaking success in the high frequency trading space. Now looking for an experienced data engineer to advance the data capabilities of the local research team and contribute to a broader Lakehouse architecture vision.
You will join a small, high-impact team with a mandate to build best-in-class data capabilities from the ground up. Working with a modern Lakehouse and dbt stack, you'll translate experimental research workflows into scalable, production-grade systems.
As a critical engineering presence in Amsterdam, you'll directly influence local data strategy while collaborating with research and data Platform teams across the global business. Your work will drive real-time insights, enable predictive analytics, and power decision-making across the trading lifecycle.
This role combines hands-on data engineering, cross-regional collaboration, and platform innovation-all within a high-performance, data-driven environment.
Requirements
  • Experience designing, building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines using Spark, Structured Streaming, Databricks, etc.
  • Outstanding communication & collaboration skills at all levels of technical ability
  • Successful track record of optimizing and productionizing research workflows, with particular attention to scalability, resilience and performance tuning
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and driving a culture of DataOps excellence
