Spencer Rose are urgently seeking a Java Developer for a 6+ month contract working for a Tier-1 bank in Manchester, experience working with Google Cloud (GCP) is a must.

Start: URGENT
Location: Manchester - hybrid, 2 days a week in the office
Rate: £420pd Inside IR35

• Java (8/11/17+) with strong hands-on experience in enterprise application development.
• Microservices Architecture using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and distributed system design.
• Apache Kafka for event-driven architecture, messaging, and asynchronous processing.
• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) including deployment, monitoring, and cloud-native services.
• Containerisation & Orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD & DevOps using Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and automated deployment pipelines.
• Database & Engineering Practices including SQL/NoSQL databases, automated testing, and Agile delivery.
• Stakeholder engagement and management
• Good communication skills
