Senior Java Software Engineer [$271k/yr+] S with Security Clearance

Summary: • Design, develop, and test enterprise Java-based software capabilities and RESTful APIs within a Linux environment. • Integrate advanced agentic AI workflows into daily engineering routines to accelerate multi-file implementations, refactoring, and testing. • Build scalable microservices architectures leveraging cloud technologies and distributed NoSQL data stores.

Qualifications && Compensation: • 9 years experience in Software Engineering, Modern Java Frameworks and Li braries with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience. • Total Compensation: $271k+ yearly • Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required Job Description: • Develop and maintain Java-based software applications and RESTful microservices using modern frameworks such as Spring. • Incorporate AI agentic workflows into development processes for automated unit and integration testing and codebase refactoring. • Manage context across complex software architectures while auditing code for security, performance, and architectural standards. • Utilize configuration management and build tools including Git, Maven, and Nexus in Linux environments. • Interface with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and database technologies such as Elasticsearch and MongoDB. • Collaborate actively in an Agile development lifecycle utilizing JIRA, Confluence, and GitHub Enterprise.

Telework: This position supports a hybrid work arrangement with an average of 1-2 days per week on-site in Fort Meade, MD.
