Cura Health is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced MDS Nurse Leader to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will oversee the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments to ensure accurate and timely documentation, supporting quality care and regulatory compliance. As the MDS Nurse Leader, you will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident assessments, develop care plans, and contribute to the overall delivery of excellent patient care. This individual will also participate in a every third week call rotation. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate the MDS assessment process ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, social workers, and physicians to gather resident information and facilitate care planning.
- Monitor MDS data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement in patient care.
- Ensure timely submission of MDS documentation to meet state and federal requirements.
- Provide education and training to staff regarding MDS processes and documentation standards.
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives related to MDS and patient care.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Proven experience in MDS coordination and leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of MDS protocols, CMS guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within interdisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and MDS software systems.
- Leadership experience and ability to train and mentor staff.
