Cleared AWS Cybersecurity Engineer with Security Clearance

PRISM is seeking an experienced AWS Cybersecurity Engineer to secure cloud infrastructure and integration platforms for a mission critical, highly classified modernization initiative. In this role, you will administer secure artifact repositories and access permissions, manage centralized security monitoring, logging, and dashboards using AWS native tools, implement security controls and vulnerability scanning workflows, and partner with cross functional teams to resolve findings and support security assessment and authorization activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage secure artifact repositories, granular identity access permissions, and automated vulnerability scanning pipelines.
• Develop, tune, and maintain centralized security monitoring, logging mechanisms, threat alerting, and operational dashboards using AWS native and integrated security tooling.
• Implement technical security controls, document plan of action and milestones (POA and M) remediation steps, and drive security assessment and authorization (A and A) activities.
• Collaborate directly with infrastructure and application engineering teams to resolve security findings and improve enterprise incident readiness. Required Qualifications
• 5 plus years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 3 years directly focused on securing AWS cloud environments.
• Practical background implementing technical security controls, executing vulnerability remediation workflows, and managing centralized security logging solutions.
• Direct experience supporting formal security assessment and authorization processes across classified or highly regulated sectors.
• Demonstrated track record operating, building, and delivering cybersecurity solutions within tightly controlled, high security environments.
• Active TS SCI security clearance with eligibility for program specific read ons and special access approvals.
• Must reside within local commuting distance of an approved secure facility in Herndon VA, Washington DC, Seattle WA, or Denver CO.
• Ability to work full time on site within secure facilities, with occasional travel to authorized customer sites as required. Desired Qualifications
• Practical experience configuring Sonatype Nexus Repository, OpenSearch, enterprise SIEM platforms, or custom security automation scripts.
• Proven track record implementing NIST SP 800 53 controls, DISA STIG aligned systems hardening, and POA and M resolution plans.
• Active AWS Professional or Specialty certifications, or industry credentials such as CompTIA Security plus or CISSP.
