Devtech Security Limited is a small, established and growing Fire & Security company based in the Glasgow area, carrying out work across Scotland.
We are looking for an experienced Fire & Security Alarm Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to become an important part of a smaller company rather than simply being another engineer on a large team.
We are looking for someone who can bring a good level of experience from day one, while also having the opportunity to grow with the business and play a key role in its future.
The Role
You will work across a variety of commercial, industrial and domestic sites, carrying out:
- Installation of fire alarm, intruder alarm and CCTV systems
- Routine servicing and preventative maintenance
- Fault finding and repairs
- System testing and commissioning
- Alterations, upgrades and small works
- Completion of service and commissioning documentation
- Liaising professionally with customers and site personnel
- Ensuring work is completed in accordance with relevant British Standards and industry requirements
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an engineer with solid practical experience across:
Fire Alarm Systems
Experience installing, servicing, fault finding and commissioning conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
Intruder Alarm Systems
Experience installing, maintaining, fault finding and programming commercial intruder alarm systems.
CCTV
Experience with modern CCTV systems, including IP-based systems, installation, configuration and fault finding.
Experience with access control would also be advantageous.
The successful candidate should:
- Have previous experience working independently as a Fire & Security Engineer
- Have strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
- Be comfortable working on their own initiative
- Have a good understanding of relevant industry standards
- Take pride in producing a high standard of work
- Be professional when dealing with customers
- Be reliable and well organised
- Hold a full UK driving licence
Why Join Devtech?
We're a small business, and we see that as one of the strengths of this position.
You won't simply be another engineer on a large workforce. You'll work closely with the people running the company and will have the opportunity to make a genuine contribution to how the business develops.
We're looking for someone who wants a long-term position, can take ownership of their work and would like the opportunity to grow alongside the company.
As the business continues to develop, there will be opportunities for the right person to take on greater responsibility and progress within Devtech.
Package
- Competitive salary dependent on experience
- Full-time permanent position
- Company vehicle
- Tools and equipment provided
- Ongoing training and development
- Opportunity for progression as the company grows
- Varied work across commercial and industrial sites
- Glasgow / Central Scotland based with travel throughout Scotland when required

If you're an experienced Fire & Security Engineer looking for a long-term role where your experience will be valued and you can become an important part of a growing business, we'd be interested in hearing from you.
