Job Description

Position Summary

Talent Space is seeking a dedicated professional to oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system for our Public Utilities client in San Jose, CA. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the EAM system supports repair, maintenance, replacement, and work planning activities across the organization. Role will manage a team of 3 Systems Analysts. The position offers a hybrid work schedule, providing flexibility and a balanced work-life experience in the vibrant city of San Jose.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of safety and accountability, ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Supervise support for end-users of asset management systems, including reviewing user access, creating training materials, and ensuring safety is prioritized in all configurations.
  • Engage with supervisors, users, developers, and system leads to enhance field applications and computing related to work and asset management.
  • Support the implementation and updates of EAM software, particularly HxGN EAM.
  • Oversee data analysis processes to improve data quality, work performance, and asset performance.
  • Build and maintain a culture that promotes excellent asset management system utilization and data quality.
  • Support CMMS data integrations with various business systems.
  • Manage and support mobile application development.
  • Prepare performance reports using BI analytics visualizations and dashboards.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Extensive knowledge of asset management principles.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to work with operating teams.
  • Ability to map business process flows and translate them into technical configurations.
  • Experience using SQL to interact with enterprise databases and with reporting or data presentation tools.
  • Experience developing integrations between CMMS systems and other business systems.
  • Creativity in operations, data analysis, and helping others derive information from data.
  • Understanding of data modeling and database structure.
  • Experience with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, .Net).
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization and independently prioritize duties.
  • Knowledge of ETL concepts and best practices.

Required Education and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience implementing or administering a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) or EAM system.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience using HxGN EAM.
  • Experience working with databases and database tools/applications (e.g., Toad, Data Point, SQL Developer) writing SQL against relational database systems.
  • Experience performing analysis and developing reports using BI & analytics tools.
