Position Title: Care Leader RN/LPN

Schedule: $36-$56.50 DOE   PRN  weekday/eve/night

WHO YOU ARE:

• RN, currently licensed in Washington State.
• Current American Heart CPR certification.
• At least 6 months experience, geriatric experience preferable.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Staff Nurse is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of medications, treatments, documentation and emergency calls as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

• Administers medications.
• Administers treatments, including, but not limited to dressings, Cath erizations, suctioning, oxygen, etc.
• Assists in direct resident care when necessary.
• Maintains accurate documentation of medication administered and care rendered.

OTHER DUTIES:

• Assists in admission and discharge procedures.
• Responds to resident emergency call system as indicated.
• Makes rounds with physician and family aware of change in resident's condition.
• Maintains the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each patient.
• Assures continuity of service and care.
• Attends in-service training and education sessions, as assigned.
• Performs specific work duties and responsibilities assigned by supervisor.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Frequent standing, stooping, bending, stretching, squatting; must be able to stand/walk for up to 70% of the workday; must be able to lift, transfer, turn and position residents weighing up to 125lbs. unassisted, or with the assistance of one for a resident weighing over 125lbs.  May be subjected to offensive odors and combative behavior.  Must be able to lift and carry up to 20lbs. frequently, and 50 lbs. occasionally.  May be exposed to communicable diseases including the HIV and HBV viruses.  Must be able to work paying close attention to detail with frequent interruptions.
