Job Description

SMS is hiring a Network Administrator Mid to support our Base Infrastructure Modernization (BIM) contract. This position will provide Tier 2 Network Administration support augmenting Air National Guard Communications Squadron personnel in operating NIPR and SIPR Base Area Network infrastructure.   • Provide remote Network Operations Center support from forward-deployed location ensuring continuity of NOC operations and distributed network management capabilities
  • Serve as backup NOC operations capability providing redundancy for centralized NOC functions
  • Monitor assigned network infrastructure and systems from remote location
  • Coordinate with primary NOC personnel ensuring seamless handoff of monitoring and management responsibilities
  • Provide NOC management decision-making support during primary NOC disruptions or contingency situations
  • Perform network monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting activities independently
  • Maintain proficiency with all NOC tools, processes, and procedures
  • Support distributed operations model enabling resilient network management during crisis or disaster recovery scenarios
  • Coordinate with on-site base personnel for localized network issues
  • Ensure continuous network monitoring coverage and operational awareness
  • Participate in NOC training and readiness activities
  • Maintain secure communications and coordination channels with primary NOC Required Qualifications
  • Education: BA/BS Degree
  • Experience: 5 Years Certifications Required
  • Cisco CCNA or equivalent
  • CompTIA Security+CE Clearance Required
