DevSecOps Software Engineer with Security Clearance

About the Job This role focuses on building secure applications across both unclassified and classified environments. Operating within a DevSecOps pipeline using Agile/Scrum methodologies, the position exercises technical expertise to build intuitive interfaces, optimize database schemas, and ensure embedded security compliance in alignment with DoD standards.

Key Responsibilities Software Development: Develop and maintain secure software applications using Python, JavaScript, and other languages across unclassified and classified environments. Security & Compliance: Implement secure coding practices and embedded security throughout the development lifecycle in alignment with DoD directives and DISA STIGs. API & Web Interface Design: Build and optimize intuitive web-based interfaces and Web Service APIs (REST, SOAP, GraphQL) to aggregate multi-source data.

DevSecOps & Agile Execution: Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies, Test-Driven Development (TDD), and modular object-oriented design within a CI/CD DevSecOps pipeline. Database & Architecture Management: Design, publish, and maintain database schemas, dictionaries, and system architectures while proactively resolving technical debt.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to translate user requirements into technical specifications, provide system integration support, and author technical documentation. Position Qualifications Education & Experience (Minimum Required) Education: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems), or equivalent years of hands-on experience.

Certifications: Active DoD IAT Level II certification required on day one (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP).
