How You Will Do It
- Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the data centre market.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, consultants, and key industry stakeholders.
- Develop and execute business development plans aligned to regional and vertical growth objectives.
- Analyse market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activity to identify strategic opportunities.
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, and operational teams to develop winning customer solutions.
- Lead customer engagement activities including presentations, workshops, networking events, and industry conferences.
- Manage the sales pipeline effectively, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Support the preparation of commercial proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations.
- Drive customer satisfaction through a consultative and value-driven approach.
- Maintain a strong understanding of data centre technologies, market developments, and industry best practices.
What We Are Looking For
Required:
- University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in business development, sales, or commercial leadership roles.
- Proven track record of developing and securing new business opportunities.
- Experience building and managing strategic customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of consultative selling and solution-based business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Commercially astute with strong analytical and market assessment capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple opportunities and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Willingness to travel as required within the assigned region.
Preferred:
- Experience working within the data centre, critical infrastructure, building technologies, or related sectors.
- Knowledge of data centre operators, developers, consultants, and key market influencers.
- Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales opportunities.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and sales forecasting tools.
- Understanding of sustainability, energy efficiency, and digital infrastructure trends impacting the data centre market.
