The Role

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard.
• Utilize specialized equipment such as top loaders, side loaders, and cranes to manage container movement and organization.
• Conduct pre-and post-operation equipment inspections to ensure safety and functionality.
• Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics and operational flow.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to established safety protocols and procedures.

What You'll Need

• A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
