Mid-Level Insider Threat Program UAM Engineer
Location: Lorton, VA (On-site)
Role Overview
We are currently seeking a User Activity Monitor (UAM) Engineer to support a vital security program. This is an opportunity to support the UAM software solution and its hosted infrastructure to identify potential threat actors and safeguard the enterprise. The successful candidate will perform hands-on support, system updates, and maintenance activities to ensure proper functionality and deployment throughout the enterprise. This position requires regular onsite presence at the secure facility in Lorton, Virginia, with candidates needing to be comfortable with fully onsite work schedules.
Key Responsibilities

• Support the User Activity Monitor software solution by executing updates, changes, deployments, and other sustainment activities.
• Perform UAM maintenance activities to ensure proper functionality and deployment throughout the enterprise.
• Identify and resolve coverage gaps across the network.
• Assist program analysts with requests for new configurations, feeds, and other UAM-specific updates.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation to capture the configuration baseline effectively.
• Support training initiatives for stakeholders on the usage of the UAM tool and ensure a certification program is in place for personnel development.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of prior relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
• Must possess recent, hands-on experience utilizing and supporting UAM tools, with no more than 2 years since performing regular technical work at a support level.

Technical Skills:

• Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of technical processes, projects, and tactics.
• Proven experience with User Activity Monitoring products and platforms, including EverFox or similar software solutions.
• Strong capability in developing and maintaining technical documents, analyses, briefings, and reports.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university in IT Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in IT service delivery management.
• Demonstrated experience with specialized high-speed data transfer platforms and advanced monitoring technologies.
