Application Developer

Position: Application Developer (FASTDS-VS )
Location: Georgia (Local Candidates Only)
Duration: Long-Term Contract

Job Summary

We are seeking an Application Developer to support the configuration, customization, development, and maintenance of the FASTDS-VS COTS application. The ideal candidate will have experience in SQL databases, object-oriented programming, application support, and software development within Agile or traditional SDLC environments.

The consultant will work closely with business users and technical teams to gather requirements, configure application components, develop enhancements, perform testing, and provide production support.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree (preferred in Computer Science, MIS, CIS, Mathematics, or related field)
• 2+ years of experience with SQL databases
• 2+ years of Object-Oriented Programming experience using:
  • C#
  • .NET
  • Java
  • VB.NET
• Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Knowledge of coding standards and software development best practices
• Ability to work in both Agile and Waterfall environments

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Web Services
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs
• AWS Cloud experience
• SQL Stored Procedures development
• COTS application support and configuration experience

Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements
• Configure FASTDS-VS application settings and reference tables
• Manage user roles, permissions, and security access
• Develop and implement application enhancements
• Perform scripting, debugging, and troubleshooting activities
• Execute unit, integration, and system testing
• Create technical and implementation documentation
• Support production deployments and incident resolution
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and project activities
