About This Role
Finance & Payments organization powers the financial backbone of a global marketplace processing billions of dollars in transactions across 220+ countries and regions.
As a Product Manager for Data Platforms within Fintech & Finance, you will build and evolve the data infrastructure and tooling that enables financial engineering, payments, tax, and treasury teams to operate with speed, accuracy, and compliance.
You will work closely with product leadership, engineering, and cross-functional teams to make data a core enterprise asset that optimizes our financial systems and reporting. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of FinTech, data engineering, and Data Platform product management.
Key Responsibilities
Own the product vision and roadmap for data platforms serving Finance and Fintech domains including payments data pipelines, financial reporting infrastructure, and compliance data systems.
Partner closely with Finance Engineering, Payments, Tax, Accounting, and Treasury teams to understand data needs and translate them into scalable platform solutions.
Drive development of self-serve financial data products enabling analysts, accountants, and finance business partners to access trusted, timely data without engineering dependencies.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and auditability across financial datasets — critical for regulatory compliance (SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR) and external reporting.
Define and track KPIs around data freshness, pipeline reliability, financial data quality, and platform adoption.
Collaborate with Data Engineering and ML teams to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and financial data warehouses.
Lead platform governance initiatives — data lineage, access controls, PII handling, and financial data classification.
Manage the product lifecycle — from discovery and spec writing to launch, iteration, and deprecation.
Bring in fresh ideas on leveraging and implement AI agents at scale to solve complex data quality challenges around detective monitoring, data integrity, completeness, accuracy, accelerate current Core Datasets pipeline maintenance/ enhancements through AI agents.
Communicate roadmap and priorities clearly to senior stakeholders including Finance leadership and Engineering directors.
Qualifications
Required
15+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 5+ years in data platforms, fintech, payments, or financial systems.
Deep understanding of financial data concepts like marketplace, payments, contracts, transactions, direct/indirect taxes, accounting, revops and financial and compliance reporting, etc
Shaped business or finance processes not just built pipelines to spec. Convert product requirements into data models, metrics, and integrity rules.
Strong knowledge of the modern data stack: data warehouses (e.g., Hive, BigQuery, Snowflake), orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow), and transformation layers (e.g., dbt).
Solid grasp of data compliance and regulatory requirements like SOX, PCI-DSS, GDPR as they relate to financial data.
Strong SQL proficiency and ability to work directly with data to validate assumptions.
Proven ability to write detailed PRDs, technical specs, and data contracts.
Preferred
Experience at a fintech company, payments platform, or marketplace
Familiarity with payments ecosystem. multi-currency, cross-border payouts, fraud, and tax infrastructure.
Experience building financial data products consumed by non-technical finance stakeholders.
Background in internal developer platforms or platform engineering.
Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
