Location: Dearborn, MI (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $42.31/hour
Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for automotive safety systems? We're seeking an Applications Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and launch of critical vehicle restraint components. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative safety technologies while working on high-profile automotive programs.
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, validate, and release restraint system components


• Translate customer, regulatory, and product requirements into engineering solutions


• Manage engineering documentation, drawings, specifications, DVP&R, and quality records


• Support supplier development, deliverables tracking, and PPAP activities


• Implement engineering changes and support manufacturing launches


• Resolve production, quality, and assembly concerns


• Ensure compliance with FMVSS, IIHS, and other applicable safety standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field


• 3+ years of experience in automotive design and release engineering


• Experience with restraint systems such as airbags, seatbelts, steering wheels, or related safety components


• Knowledge of automotive safety regulations and validation testing


• Strong project management and supplier coordination skills


• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
