SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS
The Assembler provides soldering and fabrication duties as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Populate and rework printed circuit boards (PCBs)
- Perform mechanical assembly of chassis, cables, and harnesses.
- Read and interpret assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and engineering documents, as well as test and troubleshoot assembled products.
- Work with Engineers on prototype designs/builds and help the team transition Mechanical Assemblies into Manufacturing.
- Proactively identify and help address issues with appropriate groups to assure a smooth production scheduling/processing.
COMPETENCIES
- Technical Skills (Able to read and interpret PCA Part Layout Drawings, CAD Mechanical Drawings).
- Familiar with NIST Quality Standards.
- Familiar with Windows Office Suite tools (Excel, Word, Power Point....).
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
This position has no supervisory responsibility.
TRAVEL
No travel is expected for this position.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or GED
- Ten (10) years minimum of practical experience.
- Formal training and experience in PCA and mechanical assembly.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Certification in IPC standards a plus.

The job is performed indoors in a manufacturing lab setting. Activities include extended periods of sitting and extensive work at a bench.
