Forward Deployed Engineer

Pay Range: $45.00hr - $50.00hr Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Onsite Forward Deployed Engineer who can work directly with business stakeholders, product teams, architects, and engineering teams to solve complex business problems through technology. This role requires a strong blend of customer-facing consulting skills and hands-on engineering expertise across Angular, C#, AWS, PostgreSQL, and AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot. The successful candidate thrives in ambiguous environments, rapidly understands business processes, translates requirements into scalable solutions, and drives implementation from concept through production deployment. This is a highly visible onsite role requiring frequent interaction with stakeholders and technical teams.

Responsibilities: Work directly with business users and stakeholders to understand operational challenges and requirements. Translate business needs into technical solutions and implementation plans. Conduct workshops, solution discussions, and requirement-gathering sessions. Present technical recommendations and trade-offs to business and leadership teams. Design and develop enterprise applications using Angular, TypeScript, C#, and ASP.NET Core. Build scalable APIs, integrations, and backend services. Develop responsive and user-friendly interfaces for business applications.

Design, deploy, and support cloud-native solutions on AWS, leveraging services such as Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/Fargate, S3, RDS, SNS/SQS, and CloudWatch. Participate in architecture reviews and cloud optimization initiatives. Design and maintain database solutions utilizing PostgreSQL, developing optimized queries and database structures while ensuring performance, scalability, and data integrity. Utilize GitHub Copilot and approved AI tools to improve development productivity, generating code, unit tests, documentation, and troubleshooting recommendations using AI-assisted workflows.

Ensure all AI-generated code follows enterprise security and quality standards. Troubleshoot production issues across application, database, and cloud environments. Participate in root cause analysis and incident resolution. Drive improvements in application performance, reliability, and maintainability. Support CI/CD and DevOps best practices.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 5+ years of software engineering experience. Strong hands-on experience with Angular, TypeScript, C#, ASP.NET Core, AWS Cloud Services, and PostgreSQL. Experience developing REST APIs and system integrations. Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns. Experience working directly with business users and stakeholders. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate independently in client-facing environments.

Technical Skills: Frontend: Angular, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3 / SCSS.

Backend: C#, ASP.NET Core, REST APIs, Microservices.

Cloud: AWS, Lambda, ECS/Fargate, API Gateway, CloudWatch, S3, RDS.

Database: PostgreSQL, Data Modeling, Query Optimization.

DevOps: GitHub, GitHub Actions, CI/CD Pipelines, Docker.

AI & Productivity: GitHub Copilot, AI-assisted software development practices.
