Oracle Fusion HCM Functional Consultant

Responsibilities

Role Summary

The HCM Functional Consultant provides hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM functional expertise throughout the implementation lifecycle. This role is directly accountable for data validation, test script development and execution, and end-user training within the HCM track. The consultant works closely with the Program Manager, technical teams, and business stakeholders to ensure the HCM solution is configured, validated, and adopted successfully. Core focus areas include Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Management, and related employee lifecycle and workforce processes.

Remote - some travel to Las Vegas required

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the hands-on functional expert for Oracle Fusion HCM, partnering with business stakeholders to translate requirements into system configuration.
• Lead data validation activities, including source-to-target mapping review, data quality checks, and reconciliation between legacy and Oracle Fusion.
• Develop detailed test scripts covering functional, integration, and end-to-end business scenarios.
• Execute and coordinate test cycles (SIT, UAT), logging defects, tracking resolution, and confirming retest results.
• Design and deliver end-user training materials, job aids, and training sessions tailored to the business audience.
• Support conference room pilots (CRPs) and configuration workshops, documenting decisions and configuration rationale.
• Collaborate with the Program Manager on workstream status, risks, and dependencies affecting the broader program timeline.
• Partner with technical teams on data conversion, integrations, and reports specific to the module.
• Support cutover planning and execution, including go-live readiness checks and hypercare support.
• Document standard operating procedures and configuration workbooks for post-go-live sustainment.

• Required Qualifications
• 4+ years of hands-on functional experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud HCM, including at least one full implementation lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience building test scripts and leading structured test cycles (SIT/UAT).
• Experience with data validation and reconciliation activities during ERP data conversion.
• Experience developing and delivering end-user training content.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred Qualifications
• Oracle Fusion HCM certification(s).
• Experience working within a broader multi-track Oracle Fusion program (alongside ERP, SCM, and/or HCM teams).
• Familiarity with Oracle's OUM or comparable implementation methodology.
• Prior consulting or systems integrator experience.
