C++ Software Engineer with Security Clearance

Description: Hybrid 2 days/ WK in Gaithersburg, MD Our client seeks two C++ Software Engineers at the mid or senior level to develop and integrate software on Linux. You will design, code, test, and integrate applications using modern C++ and Qt within an established software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to high-quality deliverables. Due to federal security clearance requirements, applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Resident with an active Public Trust clearance. Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. Rate: $60.00 to $80.00/hr. w2 JN -072026-107956 Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, test, and integrate software in a Linux environment.
• Develop applications using modern C++17 or later and Qt.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with engineers to define requirements and deliver features.
• Use Git and standard tooling to manage source code and workflows.

Experience Requirements:

• 2+ years of relevant software engineering experience. Senior consideration at 5+ years.
• Proficiency with Linux software development.
• Proficiency with modern C++17 or later.
• Experience across the software development lifecycle: design, coding, testing, and integration.
• Experience with Qt.
• Desired: Git, VS Code or vi, AI-assisted development, and Bash scripting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
