Title: Staff Research Scientist

Location: San Jose, CA - hybrid

Salary: $280K-$340K + Bonus + Equity

An AI data team is hiring Staff and Principal Research Scientists to join their high-performing team with multiple papers already accepted to ICML. This team is focused on the Reinforcement Learning, post-training, and building benchmark-driven systems. They have multiple open positions open ranging from and IC to a Leadership to mentor the team under the Director.

This role is a mix of hands-on research with paper writing, paired with execution in building RL environments. This role is looking for extensive experience in PPO, DPO, and/or GRPO along with recent publications at conferences. You'll stay up to date on the latest reearch in the field while contributing to it as well.

Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in Research post MS or PhD

* Publications/Patents in Reinforcement Learning, RLHF, Post-Training

* Experience with PPO, DPO, GRPO

* Experience with LLMs
