Our client seeks a Data Engineer to lead data management and big data or machine learning engineering initiatives. The role will focus on building and optimizing data pipelines and platforms using Python, PySpark, AWS, and Jenkins to support analytics and scalable data solutions.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $75.00 to $93.00/hr. w2
Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and data platforms supporting analytics and machine learning workloads.
• Develop scalable data processing solutions using Python and PySpark.
• Implement data workflows and CI/CD automation using AWS services and Jenkins.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across batch and streaming processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve pipeline resiliency and cost efficiency.

Experience Requirements:

• 5 to 10 years of data engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
• Hands-on experience with AWS data and compute services.
• Experience configuring and maintaining Jenkins pipelines.
• Experience with big data or machine learning engineering concepts and tools.
• Ability to work in a hybrid on-site environment in McLean, VA.
