MS983 - Senior Structural EngineerLocation: SheffieldSalary: £70,000 - £80,000 per annumOverview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Senior Structural Engineer on behalf of one of our clients.Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Concrete frame, steel frame, medium to high-rise design and existing structures, working across sectors such as residential, commercial, refurbishment and industrial.
• Using software to assist with calculations and structural design such as MasterSeries, SCIA, or Strand7.
• You will be preparing, detailing and reviewing drawings, supervising CAD Technicians in the preparation of these drawings.
• Assisting in the preparation of design quotes, writing reports and technical specifications.
• Supervising, mentoring and checking work for Graduates, Engineers and Technicians.
• You will be working collaboratively with Engineers in other disciplines such as geotechnical and civil/infrastructure design.
• Attending client and project meetings to build relationships and discuss their needs, requirements and any design issues.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor or master’s degree in civil/structural Engineering (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience. You could be Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE.
• You will have hands-on design experience and the ability to work on multiple projects at one time.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
