Working closely with the Technical Manager and Production teams, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving food safety, quality and compliance standards across the site.

Your new role

As Quality Assurance Coordinator, you will support the Technical Manager in ensuring food safety, quality and technical standards are consistently achieved throughout the manufacturing operation. This is a hands-on role involving routine quality checks, auditing activities, HACCP monitoring and food safety compliance.

You will carry out pre-production inspections, GMP, hygiene and PPE audits, monitor production quality standards, support traceability exercises and mock recalls, and assist with BRCGS compliance and audit preparation. You will also investigate quality issues, support corrective and preventative actions, maintain technical records and work closely with Production teams to ensure products consistently meet customer and regulatory requirements.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP principles
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and follow established procedures
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to identify, investigate and report food safety and quality concerns
  • Strong IT and administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a busy production environment
  • Experience within a BRCGS certified environment would be advantageous
  • HACCP and/or Food Safety qualifications would be beneficial
  • Experience conducting GMP or hygiene audits would be desirable
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety, Microbiology, Quality Assurance or a related discipline would be advantageous

What you'll get in return

  • Opportunity to develop your career within a growing Technical and Quality function
  • Hands-on exposure to HACCP, food safety systems, traceability and quality compliance activities
  • Involvement in BRCGS audits, mock recalls and continuous improvement projects
  • Broad exposure to quality assurance, technical systems and food safety management
  • Opportunity to work closely with both Production and Technical teams and gain valuable site-wide experience
  • Supportive environment with opportunities for ongoing learning and career progression
  • Exposure to customer requirements, auditing processes and food manufacturing best practice
