IT Security Specialist

Genesis10 is currently seeking a vSphere Systems Engineer for a hybrid position (3 days onsite required) with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX or Jersey City, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.
This role is responsible for scheduling, coordinating, implementing and troubleshooting VM migrations within a large-scale production VMware based cloud service. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with VMware vSphere in a complex enterprise environment and will be required to work on weekends and evenings as needed.
Responsibilities:

• Schedule, coordinate, implement, and troubleshoot VM migrations
• Plan and implement large technical projects related to the VMware environment
• Follow, define, document, and implement technical procedures
• Communicate and work with global teams within a large organization

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience supporting and troubleshooting issues for VMware vSphere 7.x and 8.x
• Strong networking, infrastructure knowledge, and troubleshooting ability
• Experience in executing technical strategy and working in a high-pressure environment
• Strong understanding and experience with security and authentication of VMware and hardware interfaces
• Strong understanding and ability to work in an ITIL Framework
• Experience supporting HCX
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organization skills
• Ability to work required weekend and evening hours

Pay range: $67.36 - $75.36 per hour
